SENIOR PASTOR.
Joe Wyrostek was saved at the age of 18, after being a High School drop-out and a drug addict during his teenage years. In 1998, Joe graduated from the New Orleans School of Urban Missions with an Associate degree in church planting. Shortly after graduation he pioneered Metro Praise, beginning with services in his house. During the past three years he has personally lead over 1,500 people to the Lord, and has done such ministry as: homeless outreach, French Quarter evangelism, tent crusades, started a Christian hip-hop group called JC Soldiers, and much more. With a strong standard for holiness and a lifestyle of evangelism, God has used in Him incredible ways to influence those around him. He has served as the Senior pastor of Metro Praise, facilitating the vision and ministries of the church. Today he is believing God for an indigenous church that reaches out to the entire city of New Orleans. Pastor Joe continues to preach the Gospel under an incredible anointing to both believers and the lost, with signs following. He is also very active in ministering to youth and young adults. MASTER'S COMMISION DIRECTOR.
Lynette (Fred) Fredrickson is 23 years old and originally from Hutchinson, Minnesota. She is a 2000 graduate of North Central University in Minneapolis, MN with a degree in Church Planting. She has been saved for most of her life and has known the call to full time ministry since she was a teenager. While in college she was as a student leader and served in various ministries, including inner city church planting, children’s ministry, street witnessing, Mardi Gras Invasion and more. She first came to New Orleans as an intern and served for 2 years, in the summer of 2000 she joined the staff of Metro Praise. God has given her a definite heart and passion to raise up young adults to be ministers and leaders. In September 2001 she began New Orleans Master’s Commission, and works to disciple the students in academics, Bible knowledge, personal relationships, and hands on ministry. ASSOCIATE PASTOR.
Sarah Allen is 24 years old, originally from Spicer, Minnesota. She attended North Central University in Minneapolis, MN and graduated in May 2001 with a major in music. She grew up in a strong Christian family where many of her relatives were lay ministers and served in various ministries. Sarah has known from an early age her calling to full time ministry. During her years at North Central she sought for specific direction in ministry and in July 2001 she came on staff at Metro Praise. Sarah is gifted in music, and serves as the worship leader as well as church administrator. She also has a passion for teenagers, leads the youth through discipleship. PASTOR OF ADULT MINISTRIES.
Donna Creary is a 2001 graduate of the New Orleans School of Urban Missions. She is originally from Jamaica and New York. Donna has sensed the call of God on her life for many years, and has been a faithful steward of the gifts God has given her. She has felt a burden to minister especially to hurting women and adults, she is a powerfully anointed teacher and minister of the Word. Donna joined our staff in October 2001 and has served as an Adult Pastor working primarily in adult discipleship, and she oversees the Men’s and Women’s ministries.
